This document sets out the terms and conditions of joining the SalonOwners United (“SOU”, “We” or “Us”).
These terms and conditions are subject to variation from time to time. Variations will be notified on our website - www.sou.org.uk and the latest version of these terms and conditions will be available there. Your membership will be deemed to have been renewed on the current version of the terms and conditions at the time of renewal.
By joining SOU you will meet and be introduced to other members who offer products and services which may be of use to you. If you purchase any product or take any advice or assistance from an affiliate or member of SOU, this will be an arrangement purely between yourself and the other party. SOU does not act as an agent to introduce services and does not accept any liability for products sold or advice or assistance given by one member or affiliate to another on any matter whatsoever.
Your membership of SOU enables you to access various services including, SOU These services are available to all SOU members unless specifically excluded at the time of joining but may vary from time to time.
SOU reserves the right to amend, withdraw or add to the right of membership services and such alteration shall not give rise to any liability to refund membership fees paid.
SOU may provide access and introduction to additional services but does not act as an agent to introduce members to these service providers and does not accept any liability for products or services provided by these service providers to members. If members choose to use these services, the arrangement is between the member and the service provider.
Upon acceptance of your application, the date of joining SOU will be the date of submission of your application, and future subscriptions will be due on this date each year. Subscription fees are reviewed annually and the current fees are provided on SOU website. By submitting an application form online, you are deemed to have signed the application form.
The level of subscription depends on the number of employees that you have in your business(es) for which you are seeking to use the benefit of the services which you receive as a right of membership. If the number of employees varies from year to year you need to contact Customer Services at head office to advise them of the change to ensure that you are paying the correct membership fee from the next renewal date. If you do not do so SOU reserves the right to withdraw the benefit of those services which you would receive as a right of membership. If you provide false or misleading information the benefits to which you would normally be entitled as a member will be withdrawn.
You may resign from SOU at any time by emailing hello@sou.org.uk Please note that only written resignations can be accepted.
For paid subscriptions, refunds (either in whole or in part) will only be made if resignation is received up to a maximum of 28 days after the due subscription has been paid.
Joining SOU on a personal basis.
SOU does not accept liability for any advice given to affiliates or members either by other affiliates or members of SOU employees or anyone purporting to act on behalf of SOU. Any advice provided to affiliates or members is intended as initial guidance only and should not be relied upon or acted upon as substantive advice by the third party, who should seek appropriate independent professional advice according to the nature of their problem.
Within 14 days of completing your application, you will be contacted by one of our personnel with further details of our benefits.
SOU reserves the right to refuse any application to join.
On cancellation taking effect, or on other termination, the benefits of the joining package will cease and you will not be entitled to the benefit of any part of the package which was due to be provided or fulfilled after the date of such cancellation/termination.
When you join SOU, you provide us with your details, including your address and email. By giving us this information and after giving explicit consent, you are agreeing that SOU contact you from time to time by telephone, email, SMS, text message or post with information related to services, products and events.
You may, at any time, update and amend your preferred method(s) of communication, opt out of receiving communications from SOU, change your contact details or set your email www.sou.org.uk
We take your privacy very seriously. Occasionally, to enhance your affiliation or membership to SOU, we may provide selected information (excluding ‘sensitive personal data’) to other organisations that have been selected to provide services to SOU members. This will only be done, however, when SOU has approved, by licence or other agreement, how those organisations will use such personal data, to improve the value of SOU membership and at all times following SOU Privacy Policy and after you have provided your explicit consent.
If you do not wish other organisations to receive any information about you, you may, at any time, update and amend your preferred method(s) of communication, opt out of receiving communications from SOU, change your contact details or set your email preferences via the My Account details section on www.sou.org.uk
By using SOU website, you consent to and agree to comply with the terms outlined above.
